Appamatto pamattesu, suttesu bahujagaro;
abalassa mva sighasso, hitva yati sumedhaso.
29: Mindful amongst the negligent, highly vigilant amongst the drowsy, the man of wisdom advances like a race-horse, leaving the jade behind.

Dhammapada 28 [Khuddaka Nikaya]


II- Appamadavagga, Heedfulness
5 - Mahakassapatthera Vatthu
Pamadam appamadena, yada nudati pandito;
pannapasadamaruyha, asoko sokinim pajam;
pabbatatthova bhumatthe, dhiro bale avekkhati.
28: The wise one dispels negligence by means of mindfulness; he ascends the tower of wisdom and being free from sorrow looks at the sorrowing beings. Just as one on the mountain top looks at those on the plain below, so also, the wise one (the arahat) looks at the foolish and the ignorant (worldlings).

Khandha_ Harp
Originally there is no sound in a harp. One can never find sound in any part of it. Khandha too has nothing in it. Neither beauty nor ugliness, not a person, being or self. It is only filled with Anicca, Dukkha and Anatta if one views with Nana.

Khandha_ Monkey
Monkey never stay still. The owner of the monkey who watches it will see its changes. Also, person who waits and observes Khandha will see its changes.

Khandha_ Public rest house

Dhammapada 26-27 [Khuddaka Nikaya]


II- Appamadavagga, Heedfulness
4 - Balanakkhattasanghuttha Vatthu
Pamadamanuyunjanti,
bala dummedhino jana;
appamadanca medhavi,
dhanam setthamva rakkhati.
Ma pamadamanuyunjetha,
ma kamaratisanthavam;
appamatto hi jhayanto,
pappoti vipulam sukham.
26: The foolish and the ignorant give themselves over to negligence; whereas the wise treasure mindfulness as a precious jewel.
27: Therefore, one should not be negligent, nor be addicted to sensual pleasures; for he who is established in mindfulness, through cultivation of Tranquillity and Insight Development Practice, experiences supreme happiness (i.e., realizes Nibbana).

Dana the Refuge
It is the cause for having all the happiness,
It is the main source of luxury and wealth,
It is the saviour of not falling to inferior state,
Certainly, the noble dana is the refuge.
The way of the Donor
The donor has properly built a stairway to the celestial realms.
The donor has properly packed the noble provisions.
The donor has properly constructed the direct way to good distination.
The donor has the cause to attain Nibbana.
The benefits of Six kinds of Dana
Donating alms-food means donating energy.
Donating clothing means donating good appearance.
Donating vehicle means donating pleasantness.
Donating light means donating vision.
Donating monastery means donating everything.
Expounding the dhamma means exclusively donating Nibbana.
Of all the donations dhamma gift is truly the noblest.
